Cats are animals that have a fairly varied type of color, even patterns and color spots between species can be different. Especially if the cat is a crossbreed, then it is certain that the color of its fur and eyes will be unique.
Speaking of cat color types, there are 2 basic things that can be seen. They are the color of the cat’s fur and the color of the cat’s eyes. Both parts of the color have considerable appeal to humans.
Types of Cat Fur Color
As a favorite human pet, cats certainly have a considerable and beautiful diversity of fur colors. Especially with the widespread practice of crossbreeding, makes the motif of cat fur so much more. For that we summarize it into the following:
Plain / Solid
The word plain here means that the cat has only one kind of color, without patterns, or spots of other colors. Some colors that are often the mainstay are black, white, gray, orange, brown, and beige.
Perhaps if you know the term “orange cat”, then there are some that fall into the category of plain cats.

Two Colors / Bicolor
Generally, the type of bicolors is a combination of black and white colors. It can be the dominant black, or it can be the dominant white. Sometimes it is shaped like a clown, where the base color is white with a combination of several fairly wide black spots.
In addition, sometimes it can be in the form of spotted or speckled. Where there is a base color interspersed with spots of other colors.
Tricolors
Tricolors cat motifs are actually almost the same, some have a fairly wide base color and then varied with 2 other colors. Or it could be that each color has an almost balanced composition of fur color. Examples of color combinations are orange, black, and white.
Pale / Dilute
This type of color has almost similar color characteristics so it looks pale, nothing is dominant.
Shadow / Smoke / Shading
The characteristic of this color is that it has a color at the end of the fur coat, but basically, the bottom is white. So it looks like a shadow. So when viewed this is like there are 2 types of colors on each fur.
Multi Color / Tabbies
The characteristic color of this cat is that it has more than 3 colors with quite a variety of motifs. Usually owned by a breed of village cats. Examples of color combinations are brown, silver, orange, and gray.
For this type, we meet quite a lot around the house. Usually, cats with tabby fur are tame cats.
Point / Spot
This type is actually similar to the bicolors model. But what is different is that the second color is only on the muzzle, tail, ears, and legs. This is clearly different from the type of bicolors whose second color can be in any part.
Cat Eye Color
In addition to fur, the color of the cat’s eyes is not only one, they also have a variety of colors.

Blue Color
Blue is a fairly common color found in cats. Because almost all kittens are born with a type of blue eye color. And for some cats, after starting to grow up, the eye color will change to its permanent color.
Gold / Orange-yellow color
Besides blue, the golden color is also quite easy to find. Especially in breeds and species of domestic cats with tubbies. Then most of his eyes are golden.
Green Color
The color of the cat’s next eye is green like an emerald. However, even so, sometimes the color is not the same, although it looks green, but when viewed carefully. The Green in each cat is sometimes different.
Notes: Sometimes in a small percentage of cats. There are those who have 2 different colors in their eyes. For example, the left one is blue and the right one is gold. This occurs due to genetic disorders. But you don’t need to worry if you encounter this.
